Bal Diwas in Hindi/Children’s Day : बाल दिवस / चिल्ड्रेंस डे –

बाल दिवस/Children’s Day देश के पहले प्रधानमंत्री पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू (Pandit Jawaharlal नेहरू) के जन्मदिन पर हर साल 14 नवंबर को मनाया जाता है। ( Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 14 November on the birthday of the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. ) पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू का जन्म इलाहाबाद (अब प्रयागराज, उत्तर प्रदेश) में 1889 को हुआ था। पंडित नेहरू को बच्चों से विशेष लगाव था। वह हमेशा कहते थे कि “आज के बच्चे कल का भारत हैं।” उन्होंने बच्चों की शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य और अधिकारों के लिए बहुत सारी योजनाएं शुरू कीं। बच्चे पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू को प्यार से ‘चाचा नेहरू’ कहकर पुकारते थे। पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू के निधन के बाद वर्ष 1964 में भारत सरकार ने उनकी जयंती को ‘बाल दिवस’ के रूप में मनाने की घोषणा की। ( After the death of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in the year 1964, the Government of India announced to celebrate his birth anniversary as ‘Children’s Day’.)

इस दिन स्कूलों तथा शिक्षण संस्थानों में विशेष कार्यक्रम और उत्सव होता है – जैसे नाटक, खेलकूद, चित्रकला, सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियाँ। इस दिन शिक्षक और विद्यार्थी मिलकर बच्चों की प्रतिभा को उजागर करने के लिए पूरे दिन बड़े अच्छे अच्छे कार्यक्रम का आयोजन करते हैं। ( On this day, special programs and celebrations are held in schools and educational institutions – Such activities as drama, sports, painting, and cultural performances, teachers and students organize elaborate programs throughout the day to showcase children’s talents. )

बाल दिवस/Children’s Day का उद्देश्य : Objective of Children’s Day :

चिल्ड्रेंस डे का मुख्य उद्देश्य बच्चों के शिक्षा का महत्व, अधिकारों की रक्षा करना, समझाना तथा उनके भीतर आत्मविश्वास और जिम्मेदारी की भावना विकसित करना है। यह दिवस समाज को याद दिलाता है कि हर बच्चे को समान अवसर, सम्मान और सुरक्षित वातावरण मिलना चाहिए। The main objective of Children’s Day is to explain the importance of education of children, to protect their rights and to develop a sense of self-confidence and responsibility within them. This day reminds the society that every child should get equal opportunities, respect and a safe environment.

बाल दिवस हमें क्या सिखाता है : What Children’s Day teaches us –

बाल दिवस हमें यह सिखाता है कि बच्चों को केवल शिक्षा ही नहीं, बल्कि प्रेम, सुरक्षा और सही मार्गदर्शन भी दिया जाना चाहिए। यही बच्चे भविष्य में जागरूक, जिम्मेदार तथा आत्मनिर्भर नागरिक बनते हैं। Children’s Day teaches us that children deserve not only education but also love, protection, and proper guidance. These children become aware, responsible, and self-reliant citizens in the future.
